Boeing then announced the design of its passenger model, which resulted in the 1969 100-747 flight, and a year later, in 1970, the 747 began its first service to Pan American. (This content is copied from the plane blog) The idea to build the 747 was mooted by Boeing in the mid-1960s, after which the US military entered into a contract with Boeing to purchase a large number of the aircraft to strengthen its fleet. Unlike the Airbus A380, the second floor in the Boeing 747 is not complete and is limited to the front of the aircraft. ![]() The Boeing 747 with four engines and a two-story structure can carry a maximum of 550 passengers. Now regarding about the plane itself many, many new reworks from my previous works of the 747 family of models, most notably is the rework of the nose section, you might notice some sort of floor beneath the cockpit and extra hinge pieces on each side, and that this is a new nose assembly, smoothened out the creases and fixed some botched surfaces to create a more smooth and handsome appearance.Īnother thing that has been reworked are the flaps section, they function much like from the 727-200 NWO project, slat wise, I didn't forget them, and my God does it now complete my 747 projects, its really cool to see.Īnd with those reworks, the part count jumped so the cockpit had to be simplified to the extreme and yet still keep vital details, D.I.Y seats are replaced with passenger parts, knobs removed, and the simplification of the engineer panel. It was a but unsatisfactory, but it was quite exhilarating to churn out 10 planes in 10 days, and also the build request bit. To the people that participated, thank you for joining, and hopefully I get to do more exciting challenges next time. Here we have it, the orange plane I told you all about that will complete the Planespotting Challenge. ![]() Stall Speed full flaps and full trim.160km/hĮstimated Range.12000km~ Max Speed Speed full flaps & -1/8 Trim.220km/h Braniff International Livery Orange White.Pratt & Whitney JT9D-3A Engines w/ Animated reversers.Landing Gear.Landing Gear and Landing Lights AG4.Emergency SlidesĪG5.Autopilot/ Arcade Mode ![]()
